Strictly's Gemma Atkinson has marked an 'eight-year' milestone with Gorka Marquez as they eagerly await their time apart to come to an end. The couple first crossed paths on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, despite not being paired together. ‌

Gemma was paired with Aljaz Skorjanec and Gorka with singer Alexandra Burke. Both couples reached the final, with romantic sparks flying between the pair on the Strictly Live tour that year, officially announcing their relationship at the end. ‌

In 2019, one year on from the Strictly tour ending, Gorka, 35, and Gemma, 40, welcomed their first child , a daughter named Mia, followed by their son Thiago in 2023. ‌
