Stunned Ally McCoist ripped into Max Aarons for his 'car crash' defending that led to his early sending off against Club Brugge. ‌

Rangers went into the second leg in Belgium 3-1 down from the reverse at Ibrox and knowing they had a mountain to climb to reach the league phase of the Champions League . ‌

That mountain got even higher just five minutes in when, helped by some sketchy positioning from Aarons down the right, Joaquin Seys crossed for Nicolo Tresoldi to head Brugge in front. ‌

And then, as if things weren't bad enough already, a moment of madness from Aarons reduced Rangers to 10.

He was caught out of position on the break and brought down Christos Tzoliz as he raced through on goal, and German official Felix Zwayer had no choice but to send the right-back off.
