A move into larger space in downtown Charlotte is serving to further establish Pike Corp.'s corporate headquarters in the Queen City.
However, the electrical engineering, powerline and construction company stressed Tuesday that it remains committed to its Mount Airy roots where it was founded in 1945 and where its Pike Electric subsidiary is located with a workforce of more than 200.
The privately held company also established a Pike Engineering workforce in Winston-Salem in 2023, which recently expanded from 50 to 70 employees at 119 Brookstown Ave.
"What we have in downtown Charlotte is our executive headquarters" in the Regions 615 tower at 615 S. College St., said James Banner, Pike's chief information officer.
