NEW YORK — The Yankees will open the regular season against the Giants next March, the second time in a span of four years where those two teams have faced off on Opening Day.
Major League Baseball unveiled the schedule for the 2026 regular season on Tuesday afternoon. The Yankees and Giants will play in San Francisco at Oracle Park in an Opening Night game on Wednesday, March 25th.
Those two teams will have the following day off when the rest of the league opens the year with a more traditional Opening Day slate.
The Yankees travel from San Francisco to Seattle to finish off their first road trip of the year. Then, they return home to face the Marlins in their home opener at Yankee Stadium on April 3. The Athletics come to town to finish out that first homestand of the campaign.
