CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Just a day after youth football coach Lamont Ragan was found not guilty of shooting a parent and another coach during a game last October, he’s speaking out for the first time.

“I think the jury got it right, it was obvious. I believe in the constitution, I believe in due-process, I believe in the justice system,” Lamont Ragan said.

Ragan was found not guilty on all the charges he faced after being accused of shooting at two people during a game in 2024 where he was coaching his West End Royals team.

The prosecutor in the case claimed Ragan did not use reasonable force.

Ragan’s attorney, Will Welsh, says he acted in self-defense.

“It was an unfortunate situation, I’m glad that my brother’s home and I know all these kids are glad that he’s home,” said Duke Ragan,
