Four years after moving to ban marijuana dispensaries or adult-use lounges, the village of Geneseo is reviewing the possibility of allowing them in some areas.

The proposed local law would repeal a 2021 opt-out and allow retail dispensaries exclusively in the village’s Mixed-Use 2 zoning district. The district runs along East South Street and Lakeville Road and includes commercial properties like Country Max, Wendy’s and Goodwill.
