The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office began the annual Hands Across the Border campaign on Tuesday for traffic enforcement across southern states.

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety's (GOHS) "Hands Across the Border" takes place yearly leading up to Labor Day weekend.

Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee law enforcement conduct joint road checks during this time to ensure safe driving.

Tuesday night, law enforcement conducted a large traffic stop on Ringgold Road.
