More than 350 graffiti artists from all over the world will descend on St. Louis for Labor Day weekend as Paint Louis returns to the city for the 28th year.
Festival organizer and co-founder John Harrington says the event is getting bigger every year as it nears its 30th anniversary celebration in 2027. More than 600 artists applied for a spot in this year’s festival, representing the United States, Germany, Japan, South America and Europe.
“In essence, it’s like the world’s largest graffiti jam, and people come here to reconnect and have a place to parlay,” Harrington says.
In addition to showcasing miles of spray painted masterpieces, Paint Louis also celebrates hip-hop culture. St. Louis–based emcee Bates will perform on Friday, Bronx DJ duo Da Odd Couple will spin live on Saturday,
