ATLANTA — The FBI and other law enforcement agencies arrested 17 gang members in raids around metro Atlanta and Athens, targeting what the agency said was a drug ring that trafficked fentanyl, cocaine, and other drugs.

During coordinated raids, law enforcement seized:

A grenade launcher

26 firearms (including 12 rifles)

More than $900,000 in drugs and cash

26 kilograms of cocaine, 1.7 kilograms of fentanyl, along with methamphetamine, and crack cocaine.

"This is a part of our ongoing effort to restore safety in our communities and crush violent crime by dismantling gangs," the FBI Atlanta post said.

One of those raids happened in Arcade, Ga., northwest of Athens, as FBI and SWAT swarmed a home on Jimmy Reynolds Drive and Tyler Circle.
