LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A shooting Tuesday night on near Central High School led to panic at a nearby sporting event and a shelter in place and temporary lockdown, a spokesperson for LMPD said.

LMPD responded to a call of a shooting in the 1500 block of Congress Street at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26.

Officers arrived to find a man shot in the knee. He was taken to UofL Hospital and is expected to live.

LMPD detained “a few juveniles” who they believe fled from the shooting. No arrests have been made, however.
