Despite its popularity, Netflix's The Witcher franchise has been on a bumpy road for the past few years. It can probably be traced to the moment Henry Cavill departed the action fantasy series, but the spinoffs have not been smooth sailing either. After announcing and filming The Rats a few years ago, it seems Netflix has a "disaster" on their hands.
