HERMITAGE Hermitage Police are investigating a stabbing that seriously injured two people early Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the Shenango Park Apartments on the 1400 block of Bolde Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m. for a report of a male and female stabbing victim. Police said the suspects left the scene before their arrival.

Officers provided medical care to both victims before they were taken to a hospital. Both are in critical condition, according to police.

Later Wednesday, police said a male and female were taken into custody at the UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley Campus in connection with the stabbings.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. The names of the victims and suspects will be released once charges are filed.
