If you missed it Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman spoke to the media Tuesday and he had some interesting news. He said he had to trust his gut instincts when he chose CJ Carr to be the team’s starting quarterback. He said statistically it was just too close to call. He also said that defensive end Jordan Botelho will be available for the game Sunday. Botelho tore his pectoral muscle in June and was expected to be out four months. He started for the Irish last year and was playing the best football of his career
