Seven New Jersey cities made the list of the 50 safest and richest U.S. cities to live in 2025 , three of which are in North Jersey.
Each year, personal finance site GOBankingRates lists the safest and richest cities to live in the United States. This year's list added 20 more cities for a total of 50.
To create the list, GOBankingRates uses the U.S. Census American Community Survey to determine the top 1,000 cities with the highest household mean income. Researchers then use a variety of sources to calculate additional data points such as the average home value, annual cost of living and crime rates.
