Grafton, N.D. (KVRR) — The Walsh County Sheriff’s office says that the suspects that fled a traffic stop are no longer believed to be in the area.

The traffic stop on August 21st was initiated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and U.S. Border Patrol, and the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office assisted with searching for the four individuals who fled the scene.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for the area of the stop, near Park River, and lifted later that day.

“The subjects from the search, conducted by agencies last Thursday including the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, are still at large, but are not believed to be in the area,” Sheriff Ron Jurgens said.
