AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Dozens of colleges were at South Aiken High School on Wednesday for a College Application Month event.

Each year, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) works with local school districts to facilitate “College Application Month” events for high school seniors across the state.

ARC leaders get update on school renovations before students return

We’re getting a new look at the ongoing construction at the Academy of Richmond County to modernize the historic school.

In 2024, the CHE had more than 250 events with around 46,000 participants.

Their first event of the year is at South Aiken High from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There will be representatives from about a dozen colleges to help the seniors with their applications.
