KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - At least one person has died in an east Kansas City homicide, the Kansas City Police Department said Wednesday.

Officers responded to E 23rd Street and Topping Avenue around 7:40 a.m. on August 27 on reports of a shooting.

At this time, it is unclear how many people were killed or injured. KCTV5 has a crew on the way and will provide updates as soon as they are available.
