Hundreds of players are now up for grabs on the waiver wire, and the Commanders will have a chance to claim some of them to improve the bottom of their roster. Here are some things to keep in mind over the next few hours.
Where do the Commanders sit in the waiver order?
The Commanders are 29th in the waiver wire this year -- a drastic shift from the No. 2 spot they had in 2024. They will remain in that spot for the first three weeks of the season, after which the order will revert to the current NFL standings each week.
