A plan to build a 600-unit development in Susquehanna Township hit a roadblock Monday night.
York County-based Burkentine would like to construct 33 single-family homes, 207 townhomes and 18 apartment buildings with 20 units in each facility, southeast of the Susquehanna Union Green development.
The development would be near Linglestown Road. Sturbridge Drive is north of the property. Gallant Fox Drive is south of the property, and Club Drive is to the east. The property is near Lower Paxton Township.
Seeking feedback, the developer showed a sketch plan to the planning commission members on Monday evening.
For the development to proceed, the zoning district would have to be changed from R-1 — Low Density Residential. The plan calls for development to be in the Business/Office/Res
