Cracker Barrel Old Country Store shares were up almost 9 percent in value Wednesday morning after company officials announced Tuesday night that they would scrap the recently unveiled new logo and return to the previous old-school version.
At publication time, the stock (ticker: CBRL ) was priced at $62.74, up 8.71 percent (the equivalent increase of $5.03 per share).
Volume was heavy, as about 2.65million shares had changed hands. The daily average has been approximately 1.16 million, according to Yahoo Finance.
The rise came after Cracker Barrel stock closed the Tuesday trading session priced at $57.71, up 6.35 percent (the equivalent increase of $3.44 per share). Volume was heavy that day, too, as about 3.06 million shares traded.
The Tuesday stock hike came after President Dona
