(NewsNation) — There have been at least three people reported dead and about 20 others injured in a shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Authorities said they received reports of an active shooter at Annunciation Catholic School just before 8:30 a.m. CT. The school serves kindergarten through eighth grade.
Witnesses spoke to NewsNation about the moment they heard about the shooting. One woman, a former student at Annunciation, said that morning Mass was taking place just before the shooter was reported on the school's campus.
"Everyone's connected in the community right now and are talking about this," the woman said.
