Emergency crews responded to a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.

What we know:

Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed, according to Minneapolis Police chief Brian O'Hara.

Another 17 people were injured, two critically; 14 of them are children.

The shooter, a man in his early 20s, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A law enforcement official told The Associated Press authorities have identified the shooter as Robin Westman.

The Annunciation Catholic School serves children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the FBI
