GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — It’s time again for high school football as the 2025 season kicks off this week with games on Thursday and Friday.
Here’s a quick look at the games we will be highlighting.
THURSDAY
BYRON CENTER BULLDOGS AT HUDSONVILLE EAGLES

It’s a first week match-up between two teams that ended their respective seasons a year ago at Ford Field.
Byron Center advanced to its first Division 2 state title game before falling to Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, while Hudsonville lost to Cass Tech in its first Division 1 title game since 2005.
Both teams will have new starting quarterbacks as Easton Wycher replaces three-year starter Landon Tungate and Brady Van Laecke moves from wide receiver to engineer the Eagles’ offense.
