TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The Amish mother involved in two deadly drownings at Atwood Lake was criminally charged Wednesday.
Tuscarawas County prosecutors have charged Ruth Miller, 40, with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of domestic violence, and one count of endangering children.
She remains hospitalized and will be arraigned at a later date.
In a press conference Monday, Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell said Ruth Miller experienced a “spiritual delusion” which left dead her husband and 4-year-old son.
The bodies of Marcus J. Miller, 45, and Vincen Miller, 4, were recovered at the bottom of Atwood Lake.
The situation happened over the course of Saturday and Sunday while the family camped at Atwood Lake.
