• West Nile virus has been detected in 78 counties across Indiana. In Lake County, nine out of 82 pools have tested positive as of Tuesday.

• Five people in Indiana have been infected with the virus, with four hospitalizations and one death reported. None of the infected individuals are from Northwest Indiana.
