The dry conditions and thunderstorms have been a recipe for disaster in western Colorado, especially in Moffat County. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office reported this week that there had been 17 separate wildfires across Moffat County in a matter of just days. 16 of the wildfires started on the same day thanks to a lightning storm. Thankfully, they were each caught quickly. One reached 2 acres while the rest were contained at under an acre.
