ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Two self-professed religious leaders who were once tied to a mansion formerly owned by Nelly are facing federal charges.

David Taylor and Michelle Brannon, the leaders of the Kingdom of God Global Church, formerly Joshua Media Ministries International, are accused of using physical and psychological abuse to coerce victims to give them millions of dollars in donations. The 10-count indictment filed in the Eastern District of Michigan includes charges of conspiracy to commit forced labor and money laundering conspiracy.

According to authorities, Taylor, who called himself an Apostle and Jesus’s best friend, led the organization while Brannon was the executive director.
