Eagles general manager Howie Roseman‘s goal every year is to build the strongest 70-man roster. It’s not just about the 53 guys who make the team. He wants to add 17 promising players to the practice squad.

The Eagles signed undrafted rookie Gabe Hall to the PS last season. One year later, the 6-6, 295-pound defensive tackle made the active roster. He has earned a role in their DL rotation.

Hall is one of many Eagles players who have spent time on the PS and later became a contributor. Swing tackle Fred Johnson was on the Eagles’ practice squad in 2022. Eagles backup safety Tristin McCollum also spent 2023 on the taxi squad.

A few Eagles players on this year’s PS could develop into key backups in a year or two. Some of them could be elevated for games this season. A few could even
