DNC Chair Adjourns Party Meeting In Wake of Mass Shooting

Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin announced on Wednesday that the DNC’s annual summer meeting would adjourn early, in light of the nearby shooting at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.

A gunman opened fire on a Catholic church on Wednesday morning, fatally shooting two children and injuring 17 others. Students at the Annunciation Catholic School were attending a school-wide mass when the shooting occurred– the school year having begun on Monday. Police confirmed the gunman to be in his early 20s with no criminal history, killed himself in the parking lot.
