GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A man accused of fleeing the scene of a deadly crash in Gainesville was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
On Tuesday, Eric Baker, 22, pleaded guilty to charges of fleeing, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, and hit-and-run. He was sentenced to 15 years behind bars and 10 years of supervised release.
The charges are connected to a deadly crash at the intersection of Northwest 10th Avenue and Sixth Street in July 2024.

Gainesville Police Department officers say Baker fled a traffic stop at high speed. He then struck another vehicle at the intersection.
Multiple people were hurt in the crash, and one person was killed. Baker ran away from the crash and was located a short time later.
