A Renfrewshire dad has transformed his life by losing over 12 stone. ‌

Now he is helping others do the same with his local group achieving a collective weight loss of nearly 60 stone in just eight months. ‌

Douglas Clark once tipped the scales at 26st 11lbs and said his size had become a barrier to the life he wanted to live. ‌

Today, the dad-of-three has swapped four XL T-shirts for mediums, completed his first half marathon and recently smashed his parkrun personal best with a time of 27 minutes 15 seconds — something he “couldn’t have imagined in a million years”.

The 48-year-old is training for his first full marathon in 2026 and says he wants to inspire others to achieve things they never thought possible.
