The sector vice president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino Lopez , reported this Wednesday that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces seized 2.800 kilos of cocaine in the Maroa municipality of Amazonas state.

During the presentation of an overview of the activities carried out by the FANB, the Minister of Defense also explained that the operation took place on Tuesday and that the discovery was made "deep in the jungle."

"Yesterday, in the Maroa municipality of Amazonas state, a stash of almost three tons of cocaine was found deep in the jungle (...) 2.800 kilos of cocaine are currently being placed under the legal process, seized, found by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces in the territory," he said.
