MINNEAPOLIS — The person who opened fire on a Catholic school on Wednesday morning in Minneapolis has been identified.

KARE 11 investigative reporter A.J. Lagoe reported the shooter was 23-year-old Robin Westman. Law enforcement sources said Westman grew up in Richfield and that Westman's mother was an employee at Annunciation School. Records show Westman's mother retired from the school in 2021.

It's also believed Westman had attended the school for at least one year and had visited the school in the last week while teachers prepared for the upcoming school year.

In the wake of the shooting, a video depicting an apparent manifesto-style document was posted on YouTube from an account believed to be associated with Westman. Lagoe said officials are actively investigating the authentic
