MINNEAPOLIS — An official fund has been set up to help families impacted by a deadly shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school Mass on Wednesday.
The attack happened at about 8:30 a.m. as Annunciation Catholic School students were in a back-to-school Mass. It was their second day of the school year. According to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, the shooter shot through a window towards the students as they sat in pews. The shooter died by suicide.
Two children, ages 8 and 10, died at the scene, according to O'Hara. In the afternoon press conference, the police chief said there were 19 victims in total, most of whom were children between the ages of 6 and 15.
