A restaurant loved by the Michelin Guide is to close after the 'haunted' hotel which it calls home was placed on the market.

The team behind Cathedral House Hotel , which is famous for its rich history and the fact that it is home to Celentano's restaurant, previously took to social media to confirm that it has been placed on the market.

The diner opened in 2021 and Michelin Guide's inspectors awarded Celentano's a Bib Gourmand , while recommending the consummately seasoned Italian dishes and in particular, the "terrific beef fat potato strati".

Now the co-owners of Celentano's, husband-and-wife team Dean and Anna Parker, have announced that the restaurant is to close. However, all is not lost, with the couple stating that they are looking for a new premises to call home.
