A former Glasgow Labour councillor turned independent has defected to Reform.
Audrey Dempsey has joined recent Conservative defector Thomas Kerr to double the number of Reform councillors sitting on Glasgow City Council to two.
The move means they can now both potentially sit on committees - giving the party more power in the chambers.
The mum was suspended from Labour in April last year and subsequently quit after a row when she claimed that "racist attacks on white children and teachers" had been rising in schools across the city.
Explaining why she has decided to join the party after being spotted at a recent Reform fund raiser in the city, councillor Dempsey said: "There is no place for an independent in Glasgow.
