The Celina volleyball team hasn’t been shy about punching up in weight throughout the preseason, scheduling a plethora of Class 5A and 6A opponents as it tunes up for the start of District 9-4A play on Sept. 9.
As a result, the Lady Bobcats have endured some growing pains during the first couple weeks of their 2025 campaign and Tuesday was no different in dropping a 3-1 home match against Frisco Lone Star (25-17, 25-8, 22-25, 27-25). Celina needed two sets to find its footing before staving off the sweep and nearly pushing the Lady Rangers to five sets.
