Yonkers man charged with attempted murder after violent I-95 pursuit in Maryland

Bel Air, MD – A New York man is facing attempted second-degree murder charges after a high-speed pursuit on I-95 ended with the assault of a Harford County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant, officials announced Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Juan Yahir Quiroz Manzueta of Yonkers, led deputies on a vehicle chase Tuesday before allegedly attacking Lt. Shane Burgess during a confrontation. The incident resulted in multiple charges against Quiroz Manzueta, including attempted second-degree murder.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office released the update just 23 minutes ago in a public statement and press conference posted to their Facebook page. A photo of the suspect was provided by the United States Marshals
