Luka Doncic’s EuroBasket 2025 debut is already making noise, but it’s what happened off the court in Katowice that has fans buzzing. Just one day before Slovenia’s Group D opener, the Los Angeles Lakers’ new superstar was spotted welcoming top brass from the franchise to Poland.

According to Svet24, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka led the delegation, arriving in luxury vehicles for what appeared to be a private dinner. Doncic, joined by his agent and Slovenian Basketball Federation president Matej Erjavec St. Jean, greeted Pelinka and several other Lakers representatives before heading inside. The meeting came on the same day as Doncic’s so-called introductory press conference with the Lakers, adding intrigue to the timing.
