A quick refresher on how the last Class AA volleyball season ended.

On the final day of the state tournament at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, Bozeman High played three five-set matches — one against Billings Senior and two more against rival Gallatin High in the championship round, totaling about seven hours of play . The Hawks won the first match against the Raptors and later held a 2-1 set lead in the second match, putting them one set away from the title. Gallatin, which had been the best team in the state all year, roared back to win the next two sets and claim the first volleyball championship in school history.
