MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane and right tackle Austin Jackson continue to be on track to play the team’s opener Sept. 7 at the Indianapolis Colts.

“All indications for us is that Achane will be ready Week 1 to go,” Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Wednesday morning, as he assessed the state of his roster ahead of the 2025 regular season.

Achane, though, was not participating in the Dolphins’ Wednesday afternoon practice, a day after trimming their roster to the initial 53 . Grier’s words, however, indicate the Dolphins are merely continuing to be cautious with Achane’s calf, as coach Mike McDaniel has said, while Achane progresses towards playing the regular season opener.
