SPOKANE, Wash. -- One person was taken to the hospital after becoming trapped inside a house fire in Spokane on Monday.

According to the Spokane Fire Department, crews arrived at the house on Monday to find fire pushing from the front of the home and extending into the second floor and attic.

Firefighters quickly worked to attack the fire. During a search of the home, crews found a man on the first floor in critical condition.

A nearby window was cut down, and the man was passed through to firefighters outside. The man was quickly taken to the hospital for his injuries.
