IOWA CITY — Kamari Moulton entered the 2024 college football season with all the buzz.

A starting spot and a comparison to NFL running back Aaron Jones made the redshirt freshman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida one of the hottest names in Iowa City. However, the hype quickly moved from Moulton to backfield running mate Kaleb Johnson, who took over as the Hawkeyes' lead back after two games and turned in a record-breaking season.

With Johnson off to the NFL, Moulton once again enters the season as the top back on Iowa’s crowded running back depth chart — though he shares the role with TJ Washington. He’s determined to avoid a repeat of 2024.

“I got a chip on my shoulder and something to prove,” Moulton said on Tuesday. “I’m excited to show what I got.”
