CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man who was charged less than two weeks ago for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 in power tools in Burke County was sentenced on Monday for a larceny in 2024, according to the Catawba County Justice Center.
Johnny Shane Biles, 51, was sentenced to seven to 10 years in prison after his guilty plea to felony breaking and entering and receiving a lost or stolen card, along with being a habitual felon.
The District Attorney's Office said Biles' sentence was lengthened for being a habitual felon. He was allegedly convicted of similar crimes in January 2000 and November 2004 in Catawba County, and in February 2007 in Lincoln County.
