People interested in booking for dance classes, exercise courses and other Strangway Centre offerings this winter can wait a few months yet.

Sarnia, typically requiring people to sign up in September for fall and winter programming at the city-run activities centre in Germain Park, is now pivoting to seasonal registration every three months.

Hops are the change will mean fewer cancellations at the centre for adults 20 and older, since people won’t be forced to book months out for popular programs, also held in local gyms and arenas, said Mike Neely, city activities programmer.

In past years, many who booked in advance had to withdraw as their schedules and obligations changed, he said.
