LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A second teenager has been arrested for a homicide that took place in the Newburg neighborhood.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office served a warrant on Wednesday, August 27, and arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with the June 23, 2025, homicide from the 5300 block of Ridgecrest Avenue.

This follows the first arrest on August 20, for this case, where another 16-year-old was charged.

The teen victim died at the scene.

Louisville Metro Police stated that no additional information is available at this time.

A motive for this shooting has still not been released.
