The Reds placed right-hander Graham Ashcraft on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Monday, with a right forearm strain. Left-hander Nick Lodolo , who will start Wednesday's finale against the Dodgers, was activated from the 15-day IL.

Ashcraft, who was moved to the bullpen this season, has compiled a 3.72 ERA in 53 appearances, striking out 56 over 58 innings. He last pitched one inning on Sunday in Arizona.
