Wildlife photography is the focus of the first Thursday Artist Talk of the 2025-26 season at Surrey Art Gallery.

Admission is free Sept. 11 when Pranay Meher shares stories about his photographic adventures in India, the Serengeti and other places.

Hosted by Surrey Art Gallery Association, the “Up Close through Photography" session starts at 7 p.m. at the facility in Bear Creek Park.

Meher’s journey into wildlife photography began in the dense and captivating jungles of Central India, where he had his first encounters with tigers, leopards and an incredible variety of birdlife, according to a bio.

He learned the art of patience, observation and storytelling through his camera lens and, determined to take his passion further, planned a dream expedition
