Syracuse, N.Y. — A former U.S. Border Patrol agent was sentenced Wednesday to 12 months in federal prison for making women expose their breasts to him while he virtually processed their admission into the United States.

Shane Millan, 53, of Jefferson County, pleaded guilty to two counts of deprivation of rights under color of law, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of New York.

Millan was stationed at Wellesley Island on the St. Lawrence River in Jefferson County. He was tasked with processing people at the U.S.-Mexico border via webcam.

In August 2023, Millan was taking information from a woman in Eagle Pass, Texas who was with her 1-year-old daughter, prosecutors said in court documents. He told the woman that her files showed she had a tattoo on her ch
