PHILIPPI, W.Va. — The Barbour County Fair is gearing up for a big finish as its final three days bring a mix of livestock shows, family activities, midway rides and concerts featuring rising country stars.

Thursday, Aug. 28 kicks off with commercial vendors and competitive exhibits opening at 4 p.m., followed by youth ATV drag race registration at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., the Beef Pee-Wee Showmanship takes place alongside the evening’s midway opening.

Youth ATV drag races begin at 7 p.m. and will run alongside the 4-H/FFA Beef Showmanship and Market Classes. The evening closes with live entertainment at the John Loyd Entertainment Center, where Nat Frederick performs at 7:30 p.m. and Drew Baldridge takes the stage at 9 p.m. Reserve seating is $5, with pit tickets available for $10.
